My Tax Return Was Rejected After the Deadline. Will I Be Charged to Resubmit my Return in eSmart Tax or will the IRS Charge for Late Penalties?

According to the IRS, if submitted your return yesterday and you receive a notice that it has been rejected, you have five (5) days to correct all the errors and send the return to the IRS.  This means that you must correct all errors and have the return accepted by the IRS by April 20 to avoid a late filing fee penalty.

eSmart Tax does not charge tax preparation fees to resubmit a rejected return.
