Back-To-School: Tax-Free Holidays By State

This year, only 15 states are participating in back-to-school related Sales Tax Holidays (North Carolina is not participating this year.)  Qualifying back-to-school related expenses and purchase price limits vary by state (and not all localities within a state may participate), but many families may be able to buy items like school supplies, clothing items up to $100, books, software, tablets, and computers tax free. Knowing when your state’s tax holiday is to save some cash during the back-to-school rush.
