For general questions, log into your account and our Help Center, on the right side of your screen, provides FAQs, searchable help and a federal form finder. It’s the easiest and most efficient way to get your questions answered while you’re filing your taxes—and fast! It’s a service available to all our eSmart customers. And, of course, you can always reach out to us on Twitter at Twitter.com/eSmartTax.
Technical Support
If you need technical support or have a tax-specific question, log into your account and contact our technical or tax support. Our team of experienced Liberty Tax professionals is available by phone or e-mail to answer your questions. You can find the Technical Support and Tax Support from a Tax Professional links in our Help Center on the right of your screen. If you haven’t already, upgrade to eSmart’s Premium or Signature service now to take advantage of this can’t-do-without feature.
Browser Compatibility
Internet Explorer 7 and 8 are the preferred browsers for eSmart Tax. We do not currently support IE6. If you are unsure of which version of IE you are running, click Help in the top toolbar then About Internet Explorer.
If you are running an older version of Internet Explorer, click here to upgrade to Internet Explorer 8.
Please note: If your return is rejected due to discrepancies with the IRS database pertaining to your birthday, name, SSN or AGI/PIN, you will need to contact the IRS directly, not eSmart, to verify that information. eSmart does not have access to electronic signature details, which is managed by the IRS. In such cases, please call 1-800-829-1040.
