Answer: Yes! If you filed your return in eSmart Tax last year, you can import your data from last year’s return directly into the new eSmart Tax. Here’s what to expect when you sign in to your account from last year.

• When you start this year’s tax return, the new eSmart Tax will ask you if you wish to carry forward information from the previous tax year.
• If you have more than one return from last year, or have filed returns with us for several years, the software will ask you to select which tax return you would like to carry forward information from.
